Thursday, Friday 16,17 Februray

Class discussed how a role play is an avenue to learning history.

The class then created a document listing the interests of their group (period 7,8 had already done this); and role played the convention.

Class finished with reading the "Declaration of Sentiments and Resolutions" of the Seneca Falls Convention. Each student was assigned when resolution to paraphrase into contemporary language.

Tuesday, Wednesday 14,15 February

Students read from the introduction to The Ladies of Seneca Falls, and analyzed what were historically predominant views of women's capacity, efficacy, and potential?

The students prepared for roles in a role play built around the Seneca Falls Convention of 1848.

Friday, Monday 10,13 February

Students turned in their advertising image homework, and the lectures and discussion continued.

Students were told to pay particular notice to key women assocaited with each wave; significant social issues defining the times; the key issues each wave coalesced around and key areas of focus for each wave.

Wednesday, Thursday 8, 9 February

Class was a combination of lecture and discussion designed to help students understand 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Wave Feminism.

This lecture continued to the next day, with most classes taking notes through the end of 1st Wave.

Students had homework:
Bring an full size image of an advertisement that includes an illustration of a woman. Try to find images that are not necessarily recent.
